WIN Energy REMC is a rural electric cooperative located in southwestern Indiana. The cooperative, with the corporate office located in Vincennes and two district offices in Sullivan and Princeton, serves over 16,000 meters and 2,600 miles of line to homes, farms, schools, businesses and industries.
The cooperative has an opening for a qualified journeyman lineman in the Sullivan district. Position requirements include a high school diploma, successful completion of a power line apprenticeship program, journeyman lineman’s card or certificate and a minimum of one to two years experience working as a journeyman lineman with overhead and underground electric distribution lines and facilities, including line construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The position requires knowledge of RUS line specifications, National Electric Code, National Electric Safety Code, OSHA Rules and Regulations.
The successful candidate must have a valid Indiana Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and will be required to live within 15 miles from the district office. A pre-employment physical and drug screening are required. The position works in a union environment and wage scale is in accordance with the bargaining agreement.
